ECONOMICS/HEALTH CARE

 

A grass roots organization started in the Oakland Fruitvale District in the late 1960's to provide legal services and personal rights advocacy to the immigrant and low income communities in the East Bay. The organization has survived various budget cuts and has expanded to include activism in the Oakland public schools serving as a bridge between the schools and students and their families. La Clinical, De La Raza

Has been based in the Oakland Fruitvale District since the 1970’s. La Clinica provides comprehensive medical, dental, and mental health services to the community. The organization has expanded north to Vallejo.
